Dr. Maggie Dooner is a NCCAOM and California Double Board-Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist, holding both her Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego.
Dr. Maggie has a lifelong fascination with the why behind the body - why symptoms appear when they do, why systems influence one another, and why so many people are told everything looks normal when they know something isn’t right. Chinese Medicine offered a framework to understand what conventional care often misses: the deep connections between digestion, hormones, skin, stress, fertility, and the nervous system.
Rather than treating each concern in isolation, her approach blends classical Chinese Medicine with modern physiology to better understand patterns in the body and address what may be happening at the root. Today, her clinical focus centers around women’s and reproductive health, digestive concerns, chronic stress, pain management, skin health, and nervous system regulation.
Outside of the treatment room, Maggie is most at home near the ocean, surfing, tending to her garden, or baking her way through the weekend. These aren’t simply hobbies, but practices in presence and attentiveness — qualities that carry directly into the way she cares for her patients: with patience, curiosity, and a genuine desire to understand.
Treehouse reflects everything she believes medicine can be: warm, personal, unhurried, and rooted in the kind of care she once wished she had access to herself.
